I started improving my carpet by creating higher quality textures and height maps to make the carpet seam more realistic. As I was searching how to make a normal map from texture in Photoshop, my friend showed me how to do it. I was going to create a height map for my carpet in substance painter but it would always fail to load the 3D scene.
I when to the Unreal masterclass and we recapped about LAN and learned how to open levels within levels. This is very fascinating and will be very useful for endless runner games.
A problem occurred with the particle effects after the destructible mesh broke. The smoke would stay for ever. I tried deactivating the particle effects before I destroyed the actor but it wouldn't deactivate. I figured that the problem must have been with the smoke length so I changed it with the explosion effect and it work perfectly.
Then I start creating a lift model in Maya. Everything was running smoothly.
Outside of work I was following a tutorial on doors for use in the elevator and the level.
